Bihar Assembly Elections 2025

18th Bihar Vidhan Sabha Elections

The Bihar Legislative Assembly, also known as the Bihar Vidhan Sabha, comprises 243 constituencies. Each constituency elects one Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), making a total of 243 elected representatives. This structure has been in place since the creation of the state of Jharkhand in 2000, resulting in a reduction from 324 to 243 seats in Bihar. Bihar will vote in a two-phase election on November 6 and 11, in which all 243 seats will be contested, and the results for the high-stakes electoral battle will be announced on November 14.
