In 2015, Saroj Yadav of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Aasha Devi of BJP by a margin of 13308 votes which was 9.08% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Raghwendra Pratap Singh of RJD won this seat defeating Asha Devi of JDU by a margin of 1083 votes which was 0.98% of the total votes polled for the seat.
