In 2015, Giridhari Yadav of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Manoj Yadav of BJP by a margin of 16191 votes which was 10.26% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Giridhari Yadav of JDU won this seat defeating Ramdeo Yadav of RJD by a margin of 7616 votes which was 6.33% of the total votes polled for the seat.
