In 2015, Khurshid Urf Firoj Ahmad of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Dilip Varma of BJP by a margin of 2835 votes which was 1.76% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Dilip Varma of IND won this seat defeating Khurshid Urf Firoj Ahamad of JDU by a margin of 8779 votes which was 7.03% of the total votes polled for the seat.

In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Birendra Prasad Gupta of CPIMLL had a vote share of 28.85% in this seat. In the 2015 Assembly elections, Khurshid Urf Firoj Ahmad of JDU got a vote share of 43.48% , In the 2010 Assembly elections, Dilip Varma of IND got a vote share of 39.4% in Sikta.
