This constituency covers an approximate area of 412 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Pala is: 9°43'58.4"N 76°43'14.2"E.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, Mani C Kappen of IND won in this constituency beating Jose K Mani of KCM by a margin of 15378 votes which was 11.16% of the total votes cast. In 2016, K M Mani of KCM was the winner in this seat beating Mani C Kappen of NCP by a margin of 4703 votes which was 3.36% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, K.M.Mani of KCM won this seat defeating Mani.C.Kappen of NCP by a margin of 5259 votes which was 4.22% of the total votes polled for the seat.
