According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 89.08%, while it was 88.02% in 2016, and 92.83% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Md Nawsad Siddique of RSMP won in this constituency beating Karim Rezaul of TMC by a margin of 26151 votes which was 10.94% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Abdur Razzak Molla of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Abdur Rasid Gazi of CPIM by a margin of 18124 votes which was 8.8% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Badal Jamadar of CPIM won this seat defeating Arabul Islam of TMC by a margin of 5106 votes which was 2.95% of the total votes polled for the seat.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Md Nawsad Siddique of RSMP had a vote share of 45.72% in this seat. In the 2016 Assembly elections, Abdur Razzak Molla of TMC got a vote share of 49.57% , In the 2011 Assembly elections, Badal Jamadar of CPIM got a vote share of 47.33% in Bhangore.
