In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Gulsan Mullick of TMC won in this constituency beating Mohit Lal Ghanti of BJP by a margin of 32751 votes which was 15.26% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Gulsan Mullick of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Doli Roy of AIFB by a margin of 31927 votes which was 16.73% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Gulsan Mullick of TMC won this seat defeating Doli Roy of AIFB by a margin of 12118 votes which was 7.24% of the total votes polled for the seat.
