According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 86.94%, while it was 85.41% in 2016, and 85.35% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Mohan Chandra Naskar of TMC won in this constituency beating Chandan Pal of BJP by a margin of 23318 votes which was 9.96% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Sonali Guha (Bose) of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Paramita Ghosh of CPIM by a margin of 17272 votes which was 8.27% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Sonali Guha (Bose) of TMC won this seat defeating Barun Naskar of CPIM by a margin of 18110 votes which was 9.87% of the total votes polled for the seat.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Mohan Chandra Naskar of TMC had a vote share of 50.66% in this seat. In the 2016 Assembly elections, Sonali Guha (Bose) of TMC got a vote share of 47.98% , In the 2011 Assembly elections, Sonali Guha (Bose) of TMC got a vote share of 51.18% in Satgachia.
