In 2015, Kavita Singh of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Jitendra Swami of BJP by a margin of 13222 votes which was 8.71% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Jagmato Devi of JDU won this seat defeating Binod Kumar Singh of RJD by a margin of 31135 votes which was 28.08% of the total votes polled for the seat.
