In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Rajesh Kumar Singh of RJD won in this constituency beating Ramsewak Singh of JDU by a margin of 30527 votes which was 17.54% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ramsewak Singh of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Mahachandra Pd Singh of HAMS by a margin of 22984 votes which was 14.49% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Ram Sewak Singh of JDU won this seat defeating Rajesh Kumar Singh of RJD by a margin of 22847 votes which was 19.1% of the total votes polled for the seat.
