In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Dr. Ramprit Paswan of BJP won in this constituency beating Ramawatar Paswan of RJD by a margin of 19121 votes which was 10.99% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ram Prit Paswan of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Ramawatar Paswan of RJD by a margin of 6242 votes which was 4.03% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Ram Lakhan Ram Raman of RJD won this seat defeating Ramprit Paswan of BJP by a margin of 2459 votes which was 2.3% of the total votes polled for the seat.
