In 2015, Ashok Kumar Singh of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Ambika Singh of RJD by a margin of 8011 votes which was 5.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Ambika Singh of RJD won this seat defeating Ashok Kumar Singh of IND by a margin of 2978 votes which was 2.42% of the total votes polled for the seat.
