In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Manju Agrawal of RJD won in this constituency beating Vinod Prasad Yadav of JDU by a margin of 16690 votes which was 9.65% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Vinod Prasad Yadav of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Mukesh Kumar Yadav of HAMS by a margin of 4834 votes which was 3.26% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Vinod Prasad Yadav of JDU won this seat defeating Sushama Devi of IND by a margin of 6503 votes which was 6.04% of the total votes polled for the seat.
