In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Dilip Ray of JDU won in this constituency beating Sayed Abu Dojana of RJD by a margin of 8876 votes which was 5.1% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Syed Abu Dojana of RJD was the winner in this seat beating Amit Kumar of IND by a margin of 23234 votes which was 14.83% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Shahid Ali Khan of JDU won this seat defeating Jainandan Prasad Yadav of RJD by a margin of 1186 votes which was 1.02% of the total votes polled for the seat.
