In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Amarjeet Kushwaha of CPIMLL won in this constituency beating Kamala Singh of JDU by a margin of 25510 votes which was 17.67% of the total votes cast. In 2015, Ramesh Singh Kushwaha of JDU was the winner in this seat beating Asha Devi of BJP by a margin of 6091 votes which was 4.48% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2010 Assembly elections, Asha Devi of BJP won this seat defeating Amarjeet Kushwaha of CPIMLL by a margin of 8920 votes which was 8.26% of the total votes polled for the seat.
