Kaduthuruthy Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Kottayam district in the Travancore region of Kerala: Kadaplamattom, Kanakkari, Kidangoor, Kuravilangad, Marangattupilly, Uzhavoor and Veliyannoor Panchayats in Meenachil Taluk and Kaduthuruthy, Manjoor, Mulakulam and Neezhoor Panchayats in Vaikom Taluk.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 297 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Kaduthuruthy is: 9°45'03.2"N 76°32'48.8"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 68.05%, while it was 69.59% in 2016, and 71.17% in 2011.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, Adv Mons Joseph of KEC won in this constituency beating Stephen George of KCM by a margin of 4256 votes which was 3.26% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Adv. Mons Joseph of KCM was the winner in this seat beating Scaria Thomas of KCST by a margin of 42256 votes which was 33.23% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Adv.Mons Joseph of KCM won this seat defeating Stephen George of KCAMG by a margin of 23057 votes which was 18.9% of the total votes polled for the seat.
