Perambra Assembly constituency comprises the following areas of Kozhikode district in the Malabar region of Kerala: Arikkulam, Chakkittapara, Changaroth, Cheruvannur, Keezhariyur, Koothali, Meppayyur, Nochad, Perambra and Thurayur Panchayats in Quilandy Taluk.

This constituency covers an approximate area of 297 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Perambra is: 11°33'44.6"N 75°45'51.1"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 79.85%, while it was 85.47% in 2016, and 84.76% in 2011.

In the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, T P Ramakrishnan of CPIM won in this constituency beating C H Ebrahimkutty S/O Kunjammed of IND by a margin of 22592 votes which was 13.84% of the total votes cast. In 2016, T.P.Ramakrishnan of CPIM was the winner in this seat beating Adv.Mohammed Ikbal of KCM by a margin of 4101 votes which was 2.67% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, K. Kunhammad Master of CPIM won this seat defeating Adv. Mohammed Ikbal of KCM by a margin of 15269 votes which was 11.28% of the total votes polled for the seat.
