In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Sujit Bose S/O - Late Ajit Bose of TMC won in this constituency beating Sabyasachi Dutta of BJP by a margin of 7997 votes which was 5% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Sujit Bose of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Arunava Ghosh of INC by a margin of 6988 votes which was 4.53% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Sujit Bose of TMC won this seat defeating Palash Das of CPIM by a margin of 35925 votes which was 24.13% of the total votes polled for the seat.
