In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Dilip Mondal of TMC won in this constituency beating Agniswar Naskar of BJP by a margin of 58832 votes which was 24.96% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Dilip Mondal of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Aloke Sardar of CPIM by a margin of 30630 votes which was 8.11% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Dilip Mondal of TMC won this seat defeating Sudhin Sinha of CPIM by a margin of 25050 votes which was 7.54% of the total votes polled for the seat.
