This constituency covers an approximate area of 141 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Ranaghat Uttar Paschim is: 23°15'12.6"N 88°31'46.6"E.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, In 2021, this seat registered a turnout of 83.6%, while it was 86.56% in 2016, and 88.13% in 2011.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Parthasarathi Chatterjee of BJP won in this constituency beating Sankar Singha of TMC by a margin of 23128 votes which was 10.47% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Sankar Singha of INC was the winner in this seat beating Parthasarathi Chatterjee (Babu) of TMC by a margin of 23420 votes which was 11.12% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Partha Sarathi Chatterjee (Babu) of TMC won this seat defeating Bhattacharya Mina of CPIM by a margin of 27344 votes which was 14.67% of the total votes polled for the seat.

In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Parthasarathi Chatterjee of BJP had a vote share of 51.43% in this seat. In the 2016 Assembly elections, Sankar Singha of INC got a vote share of 52.05% , In the 2011 Assembly elections, Partha Sarathi Chatterjee (Babu) of TMC got a vote share of 54.41% in Ranaghat Uttar Paschim.
