Victory margin
In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Sukumar Mahata of TMC won in this constituency beating Dr Bhaskar Sardar of BJP by a margin of 39685 votes which was 19.52% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Sukumar Mahata of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Nirapada Sardar of CPIM by a margin of 38190 votes which was 20.37% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Nirapada Sardar of CPIM won this seat defeating Srimati Padma Mahato of TMC by a margin of 4232 votes which was 2.74% of the total votes polled for the seat.
