In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Budhrai Tudu of BJP won in this constituency beating Kalpana Kisku of TMC by a margin of 1650 votes which was 0.89% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Bachchu Hansda of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Urow Raghu of RSP by a margin of 4401 votes which was 2.6% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Bachchu Hansda of TMC won this seat defeating Khara Soren of RSP by a margin of 18657 votes which was 13.26% of the total votes polled for the seat.
